This Week at the Emerson – 4.8.26

Hello Friends,

Don’t miss these upcoming events:

– ENROLL FOR ART CLASS –
Enroll in a class and find your passion, your talent, your community, and more. There’s something special about making art with your own hands. It shifts your focus, challenges you in the right ways, and connects you with people who are doing the same. Come discover what happens when you start creating! Register online.

– EMERSON ART WALK –
On May 8 (and during our first Emerson Art Walk from 5–9pm!), we’re celebrating our birthday! As we turn 33 and reflect on more than three decades as an arts and cultural center, we’re incredibly proud of what this community has built together. The arts are thriving in Bozeman. Artists are creating, experimenting, and connecting with new audiences every day. If you’ve been feeling the pull to share or sell your work, we want to help make that possible! That’s why we’re opening our north lawn for Art Walks this year: we have the space, you have the talent. Learn more online.

– BOZEMAN DOC SERIES: A LIFE ILLUMINATED –
Join us on Thursday, April 9th for A LIFE ILLUMINATED. The film follows trailblazing marine biologist Dr. Edie Widder—one of the first women in her field and one of the first humans to explore the ocean’s twilight zone—as she descends 3,300 feet into the ocean’s darkest depths. Learn more online.

– SUMMER ART CAMP –
Kids like a good mess, a colorful palette, and lots of inspiration. Great news: we’re really good at all those things. Send your child(ren) to Emerson Summer Art Camp for the best days, fun-filled weeks, and lasting summertime memories! Emerson Art Camps run weekly from June-August, Monday-Friday 9am-3pm. We welcome children ages 5-12. View schedule online.

– WE ARE HIRING –
We are currently looking for Summer Art Camp Instructors and Youth Summer Interns!

– NEW TO YOU ART SALE DONATIONS –
Donate your original art to our New to You Art Sale! Our third annual New to You Art Sale will take place on April 30 and May 1! Mark your calendars for this exciting treasure hunt, plus, art donors receive early-bird access to the sale. This is a wonderful time to clean out your spaces and pass along original artworks that you no longer display! Donations (paintings, drawings, sculptures, photography, ceramics, etc) may be dropped off at the Emerson, across from the Jessie Wilber Gallery, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm. No mass-produced art, please. Email us with any questions or to sign up to volunteer.

With gratitude,
Susan Denson-Guy
Executive Director
