Celebrate the final Art Walk of the season at the Emerson Center for the Arts and Culture with the unveiling of two beautiful exhibits and an exciting pop-up collaboration in Galleria Hall. Join the Emerson for an evening of art, creativity, and community on Sept. 12 from 5-8 p.m.
In the Emerson’s Jessie Wilber Gallery, local artist Emma Bergman presents a collection of oil paintings that highlight the small moments of life. In her exhibit titled “The Quiet Mundane”, Bergman captures intimate everyday details, inviting viewers to reflect on overlooked aspects of our days.
“Rather than letting the mundane slip by, I am attempting to bring the viewer’s focus to the little corner of the world I inhabit … elevating the mundane to something of importance, as something precious to be savored.” Bergman said.
Bergman, a painter and designer, studied graphic design and studio arts at Montana State University. Her varied work includes murals, installations, large scale oil paintings, and watercolor sketchbook pages, where she explores themes of mundanity, nature, and family.
