CONTACT consists of fragments and layers that work together to create profound echoes of the antithetical elements: silence and noise, stillness and chaos, confusion and clarity. Similar to the work in PARTS of the WHOLE concurrently installed in the Jessie Wilber Gallery, Saurer’s compelling use of repetition, scale and media creates space to consider different points of view.
