Traditional wisdom teaches us how to live in balance with nature. In many cultures, wetlands are sacred places—woven into stories, rituals, and spiritual beliefs. This year’s theme reminds us to respect and learn from this knowledge as we work toward stronger wetland conservation today.

The Indreland Audubon Wetland Preserve is hosting this special World Wetlands Day program showcasing the work of local organizations dedicated to protecting Montana’s wetlands and riparian areas. Together, these groups help keep ecosystems healthy while honoring cultural heritage and traditional stewardship.
