MT Fibershed’s Farm-to-Fashion

An event promoting Montana’s natural fibers including wool, textile hemp, alpaca, cashmere, and flax, natural dyes and elevating greater health and sustainability in agriculture practices to strengthen Montana’s textile economy.

The Montana Fibershed Marketplace, a market for Montana makers featuring yarns, clothing, homewares and other local goods. Come shop local with us!

Panel Discussion with Q&A – Crawford Theater, 2-3PM
Entitled “A Snapshot of Now; Montana Fiber and Textiles in 2022,” the panel will feature speakers who are expert in the many facets of the fibershed movement, such as creating a brand with Montana wool, the many benefits of using natural fibers, the economic benefit of growing the Montana textile economy, and the ways in which fiber producers and users can improve the land and combat climate change.

The Farm-to-Fashion Show – Crawford Theater, 4-5PM
Farm-to-Fashion Show, a creative showcase for Montana fiber artists and designers. Ensembles, garments, and accessories will be judged and prizes awarded in six categories, plus a people’s choice award selected by the audience.

Reception – Lobby, 5-6PM
Join us after the show for appetizers and a no-host bar, and a chance to view the fashion show garments up close, meet the makers, and the panel speakers.
