We

Exhibit by Jen Pulchinski

“WE examines and questions humanity. It focuses on the idea a metamorphosis must take place within humans to really consider them alive. If we are not who we are, what are we? Nothing. We are not static zombies. We morph and always change.”

Artist Statement

“Everywhere I go, I see body shapes and body language. In each portrait, the play of these shapes in their stark white surroundings, and the intensity and language of the face, translate into what we see in ourselves as humans. What does it mean to be human, to have this form and these faces, is a question that is always in my thoughts. So I find my answer through the natural expression of drawing”.
