New Works
By Ben Pease
February 12 – April 29
Local artist and MSU Undergraduate Student, Ben Pease, is showing a new body of work in the Emerson’s Lobby Gallery. Ben is from the Crow and Northern Cheyenne Nations of South Eastern Montana. He has been practicing as a professional artist for almost four years and has had exhibited his work around the country. His work and process is continually evolving. He currently is working on narrating the Aboriginal struggles and aesthetics through his own personal interpretations. Whether he is viewed as activist or cultural recorder he feels the need to educate and speak volumes. Transitioning himself from a “Rez Kid” to a culturally rich, contemporary storyteller.
Free and open to the public.
Opening Reception:
Friday, February 12 from 5 – 8pm in the Lobby Gallery
