Emerson Ballroom | 6pm
Kilt or Cocktail
Celebration of the Arts is the Emerson’s largest annual fundraiser, supporting art education programs, community events, and building projects throughout the year. This year’s Celebration is diving into the witty and lively Scottish culture with our Burns Nicht Feast! It’s time to dust off your finest tartan and brush up on your Robert Borns poetry. This exquisite evening features a seated dinner, fine art, live and silent auctions, bagpipes and entertainment, and local quick draw artists creating unique works to auction off at the end of the night.
CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS EXHIBITION
Jessie Wilber Gallery
On display through January 24, 2020
The Emerson’s annual Celebration of the Arts event is our biggest fundraiser of the year. This event celebrates arts and culture with an evening full of quick-draw artists, live and silent auctions, fine dining, drinks, dancing and merriment! We are soliciting original art donations for this year’s auctions and excited to acknowledge the artists who support the Emerson by having a special exhibition in the Jessie Wilber Gallery prior to the event. This will give the community a preview of the work available for live and silent auction and give much deserved recognition to the artists. The exhibit will be comprised of selected works from submissions received, and the chosen artists will be celebrated during an opening reception held during the December 13 Art Walk. The exhibit will run from December 13, 2019 – January 24, 2020. All proceeds from the live and silent auctions go toward the Emerson’s art education, exhibits and restoration projects.
Silent bidding will begin at the show’s opening reception in December. Bidding will continue through the night of the Celebration of the Arts event.
