Join the Ivan Doig Center in supporting the Writing in the West: Doig/Stegner Advanced Fiction Workshop participants as they share excerpts of their work. Inspired by Wallace Stegner’s and Ivan Doig’s lives spent crafting stories about the West an the complex relationship of place in American narratives, these writers have crafted their own Western fiction under the guidance of Lousia Hall.

Jouisa Hall is an acclaimed novelist and poet and holds the position as MSU’s current Western Writer-in-Residence.
