Join us for a slideshow and discussion with Josh Ewing, Friends of Cedar Mesa, and Tim Dwyer, Friends of Missouri Breaks about Utah’s Bears Ears National Monument and what’s at stake for the American people as the Department of Interior considers rolling back protections for our national monuments.

Our nation’s national monuments could lose their protections that keep these treasured public lands as they’ve been for thousands of years. Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is reviewing dozens of national monuments with an eye towards either shrinking or eliminating them altogether. While Montana’s Upper Missouri River Breaks was recently spared, other monuments like Bears Ears in Utah are still at risk. This radical action to roll back existing protections threatens all our public lands, prized by Montanans and all Americans for their cultural heritage, natural beauty and world-class outdoor recreation.
