Seed: The Untold Story is a fascinating look at the complex history and current state of the world’s seed diversity.

In the last century, 94% of the world’s seed varieties have disappeared. As biotech chemical companies control the majority of our seeds, farmers, scientists, lawyers, and indigenous seed keepers fight a David and Goliath battle to defend the future of our food. In a harrowing and heartening story, these reluctant heroes rekindle a lost connection to our most treasured resource and revive a culture connected to seeds. The film features interviews with Vandana Shiva, Dr. Jane Goodall, Andrew Kimbrell, Winona Laduke, Raj Patel and more.

The screening will be preceded at 6:30pm by a reception with food and drink in the Emerson lobby and the third annual Bozeman Doc Series silent auction featuring items from sponsors such as The Lark, The Emerson Grill, Bozeman Spirits, Dave’s Sushi, Country Bookshelf and more. Come shop for Christmas gifts and support the Doc Series at the same time!

6:30pm reception, 7pm film
Tickets: $10/$8 (students), available online, at the door, at Cactus Record and Movie Lovers
